Directions

Anglin Falls is a short drive from Berea College's campus and offers a moderate difficulty, out-and-back trail leading to a waterfall in the John B. Stephenson Memorial Forest. The trail is approximately 1 mile long to the falls.

On a GPS, enter "842 Anglin Falls Rd, Mount Vernon KY". This will get you close to, if not to, the driveway to the parking lot. Look for a red sign that says "Anglin Falls" and turn left down the gravel drive. You will reach the parking lot and trailhead.

Note: it is a small parking lot holding maybe 20 cars. If visiting with a large group, carpooling is highly encouraged. Also, both driving routes (from Berea or from Big Hill) to the parking lot have one or more sharp turns and run along narrow roads. Use extreme caution while driving!

Written directions from the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves: From Exit 76 on I-75, go east 3.5 miles on KY 21 to the center of Berea. Turn right at the light (staying on KY 21), past the Boone Tavern, and travel another 5 miles. Turn right (south) on to US 421 and travel 2.6 miles. Turn right on Burnt Ridge Road and travel .2 miles, then left on Himanns Fork Road and travel 3.4 miles. Look for a red brick house on the right (box 530); approximately one-tenth of a mile past the house make a sharp left turn down a steep hill on to Anglin Falls Road. Travel .9 miles on Anglin Falls Road to a sign that says "Anglin Falls" next to a mailbox marked "542 R2". Turn left and travel .2 miles to the parking area/trail head.

Anglin falls is a hiking trail filled with the beauties of nature! The waterfall at the end of the trail is beautiful, but there is plenty along the way to observe. There is a creek not far from the parking lot that is a great place to rest and relax. The trail is open year round from sunrise to sunset. There are no facilities on site. The trail is not accessible.
Please stay on the trail at all times for your  safety and to protect the integrity of the biotic community of the forest.
