In collaboration with Berea Parks & Rec, MCPL Outreach, Winterberry Studios & the Forestry Outreach Center have some fun programming to help you fall into reading!
This month’s Fall into Reading theme is Hygge: get comfy and read a book. We will focus on how we can create a cozy environment as the weather becomes colder and darker. We will have hot cocoa and cookies, a pop-up library with books to read and check out, and a scent library.
Heather Dent with Winterberry Studios will have materials available to make fairy light lanterns. This is a perfect activity to prepare for the shortening daylight of winter. Please note that this activity will need teen or adult help. There is a chance you will get messy.
The FOC will have a leaf sensory bin filled with representations of critters that use leaf litter to overwinter and other cool items to talk about hibernation!
