Artist Talk with David Cooke – Tree Week Event

Join the Visitor Center on Friday, October 16th from 5-6pm for a conversation with artist David Cooke. David creates unique hand-turned wooden bowls from fallen trees on the Berea College campus. These works of art are the result of a collaboration with the College’s Urban Forestry team to further their commitment to sustainability. Each bowl has a story and connection to the trees here on campus. This conversation will give you the opportunity to experience these bowls up close as David shares insight about how they were created and memories of the trees on campus. David will have a collection of the bowls also on display at Hutchinson Library during Tree Week!
